Two missing school girls found from J&K
The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has located the two Class XI girls, who went missing two days back, from Jammu and Kashmir today.
According to Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma, the search began when Anju, a resident of Rampura Phul, Bathinda district, reported that her daughter, a student of Class XI of Meritorious School, went missing around 5 pm on Monday. She received a call from her daughter’s class in-charge, informing her that she had left the school on her own and was nowhere to be found. Further investigation revealed that another girl, reportedly her friend from the same class, had also gone missing from the school a day earlier.
Acting swiftly, the police registered an FIR under Section 127 of the BNS. Multiple police teams were immediately formed and dispatched to various cities and districts to locate the missing girls.
Utilising the advanced scientific and technical intelligence, the police teams traced both girls to Jammu and Kashmir. Officers were promptly sent to the region, where they successfully recovered the girls and ensured their safe return to Jalandhar.
