The Gharinda police have booked two TV anchors for allegedly hurting religious sentiments by making objectionable remarks against the Bible and Jesus Christ. Those booked were identified as Iqbal Dhillon and Deep Bajwa.

Locus Masih, a resident of New Hamidpura, Naraingarh in Chheharta, told the police that the suspects were anchors of a Punjabi TV channel and had made objectionable comments against Jesus Christ and the Bible on social media. A complaint was lodged with the police four days ago and a case was registered after taking legal opinion. A case was registered under Sections 295-A and 34 of the IPC against the suspects.
