Two women hurt as car hits scooter

Two women sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car while returning home from work on a scooter near Bhai Ghanaiya Gurdwara on the GT Road in Phagwara.

The victims, both daily wage workers under the MGNREGA scheme, were rushed to the local Civil Hospital.

According to reports, the injured have been identified as Kamaljit Kaur, and Satya, both residents of Jamalpur. The incident occurred when a speeding car rammed into their scooter from behind.

Doctor Dr Darshan Badhan confirmed that both women sustained serious injuries. Kamaljit Kaur suffered a major head injury and a fractured shoulder, while Satya also received a severe head injury and a fractured leg. Medical treatment is currently underway for both patients.
