U-15 women cricket: Hoshiarpur team beat Ludhiana, enter finals

This remarkable feat was made possible by stellar performances from the team members, including Bhumi Sharma, Ananya Thakur, Anshika, Kashvi Rana, and Dhruvika Seth.
According to Dr Raman Ghai, secretary of the HDC, the match, played as part of the Punjab Cricket Association’s Under-15 inter-district tournament, saw Hoshiarpur winning the toss and choosing to bat first. The team posted a total of 92 runs in 28.3 overs. Bhumi Sharma contributed a solid 30 runs, while Manpreet and Pratika added 12 and 11 runs, respectively.
In response, Ludhiana set out to chase 93 runs in 35 overs but was utterly overwhelmed by Hoshiarpur’s formidable bowling attack. Ludhiana was bowled out for just 46 runs in 22.4 overs. Ananya Thakur and Anshika took 3 wickets each, Kashvi Rana took 2 wickets, and captain Dhruvika Seth dismissed one Ludhiana player.
Dr Ghai confirmed that Hoshiarpur’s historic victory secured them a spot in the final, where they will face Amritsar. The team received congratulations from HDC officials, including president Dr. Daljeet Khela and Tournament Committee chairman Dr Pankaj Shiv, who praised the players’ performance.
Coach Davinder Kaur Kalyan, along with other coaches, extended their best wishes to the team for continued success. Senior players also congratulated the team on this outstanding achievement.
