‘Udaan 1.0’ promotes eye health awareness
Cycling and running event ‘Udaan 1.0’ was held in the city on Sunday to promote fitness, eye health awareness and benefits of an active lifestyle in preventing vision-related issues. The event was organised by Arora Eye Hospital and Retina Centre, led by Dr Amandeep Singh Arora, and Sky Riders, headed by Dr Reena Malhotra.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 500 persons and was attended by several distinguished dignitaries from the city. The day began with an energising ‘Happiness Session’ conducted by Rajan Sayal’s Prinday Academy, setting a positive tone for the day. The cycling and running event was flagged off by Sunil Sharma of Jalandhar Running Club (JRC) and Sarvjit Samra of Capital Finance Bank.
Dr Arora emphasised the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining good eye health. Participants from various cycling and running clubs, including Sky Riders, JRC, Ride to Roar, JBC, Hawk Riders and clubs from Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana actively took part in the event.
