In the 14th Hockey India Junior Men’s National Hockey Championship, Punjab defeated Odisha by 7-6 through a shoot-out, Haryana defeated Jharkhand by a margin of 5-4 through a shoot-out, and Karnataka beat Madhya Pradesh after a tough match. Uttar Pradesh defeated Manipur 3-2 to enter the semi-finals.

Karnataka defeated Madhya Pradesh in the first quarterfinal. Both teams were tied at 2-2 till the scheduled time. DR Pawan and Vivek Ravi scored while Ali Ahmed and Mohammad Anas scored for Karnataka.

In the second quarterfinal, Uttar Pradesh defeated Manipur by a margin of 3-2. Ashu Moria, Rahul Rajbhar and Ajit Yadav scored goals for Uttar Pradesh. From Manipur, Siliba Lisam and Y Bindia Singh scored goals.

In the third quarterfinal, Haryana defeated Jharkhand 5-4 in the shoot-out and entered the quarterfinals. Both teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the scheduled time. Navraj Singh and Amit Khasa scored for Haryana while Roshan Ekka and Namit scored for Jharkhand.

In the fourth quarterfinal, Punjab defeated Odisha 7-6 in a shootout to enter the semifinals. Both teams were tied 3-3 at the end of the scheduled time. Punjab captain Ujwal Singh scored a hat-trick.
