Webinar on artificial intelligence
A webinar on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality’ was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in collaboration with the Training and Placement Cell for the students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, Jalandhar. The experts Aditya Kumar and Amit Kumar, Senior AI Developers, made the students aware about the use of Artificial Intelligence and virtual reality in making machines intelligent. This webinar helped the students to gain an insight into the design and development of machines with Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Director Academic Affairs- KCL Group, and Dr RS Deol, Deputy Director, appreciated the enthusiasm of the students as well as the effort of departments for organising such events.
FRESHERS’ SHOWCASE TALENT
Students got a chance to explore and improve their hidden talent in Utsav 2021 organised by Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus. Students from all courses- MBA, MCA, BBA, B Com, BCA and B Tech – participated in various events with great zeal and enthusiasm. Various categories of events included- Solo Song, Solo Dance, Group Dance and acting. Welcoming the students, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director AIMETC mentioned that “the very purpose of organising such functions is to unearth the unpolished talent of students”. Coordinators of the event were Daljeet Singh Matharu, Faculty School of IT, and Kavita Verma, faculty school of Management Studies. The event started with beautiful compering by Abhinav Mittal and Kanha of MBA III.
NAVRATRI CELEBRATIONS
Navratri festival marks the victory of Maa Durga over the demon Mahishasur and celebrates the victory of good over evil. Navaratri celebrations are on full swing across the country. So, in order to seek the blessings of Maa Durga and to celebrate the colourful and auspicious occasion dedicated to Goddess Durga, prayer was organized in The Nobel School and prasad was distributed among the staff and students. . The students were told about the importance of nine days of Navaratris. Chairman Prof.C.L.Kochher, Managing Director Kumar Shiv Kkochhar, Principal Amita Sharman appreciated the efforts of the staff as well the students and said we should save and respect girl child.
World Sight Day
Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust under DISHA, a campaign, enlightened the students of Innocent Hearts Group about visual impairment and blindness, on World Sight Day. Dr Rohan Bowry, ophthalmologist, acquainted the students with common eye problems like refractive errors, Ccataract, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. He stated that people suffering from diabetes and hypertension must get their eyes checked after every six months to protect them from visual impairment. Dr. Rohan also emphasised on the problem of dry eyes which is very common in every age group due to digitisation. He recommended everyone to follow the formula of 20 and blink eyes 20 times after every 20 minutes to keep them healthy.
