Punjab Education and Information & Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Friday exhorted Punjabis to become warriors in the government’s ongoing “Yudh Nashian Virudh” drive.
Addressing a district-level function of Village Defence Committees (Pinda De Pehredars) at Hoshiarpur, Bains said it was call of the day to wipe out the drugs scourge from Punjab, channelising the energy of youngsters in positive direction. He emphasised the need for public participation to overcome this social menace.
The government’s next goal is to take the message of ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign to each and every household across the state to disseminate the adverse effects of drugs, said the minister, adding that the government was committed to get rid of the menace.
