More than 500 citizens from various walks of life participated in the walkathon, including students from different educational institutions. Holding banners and placards with slogans promoting fitness, healthy eating and sports participation, the participants walked with enthusiasm, spreading the message of adopting a nutritious diet and an active lifestyle.

The primary goal of the walkathon was to encourage people to make positive lifestyle changes. The initiative focused on creating awareness about reducing the intake of salt, sugar and oil in daily diets while increasing the consumption of salads, green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. It also emphasised the importance of repurposed used cooking oil (RUCO), advising that frying oil should be reused only twice. Additionally, the event highlighted the benefits of incorporating millets and fortified foods rich in minerals and vitamins.
