Weapon, heroin seized from Maqsudan Sabzi Mandi, two held
Jalandhar: A special operation unit of the city police arrested two miscreants with an illegal weapon and 6-gm heroin from Maqsudan Sabzi Mandi. ASI Sukhraj Singh received a tip-off that two accused, identified as Rahul Kumar of Basti Mithu and Vipan Kumar, alias Bablu, of Basti Bawa Khel, were near Maqsudan area to deliver a consignment of drugs. After this, the ASI and his team nabbed the accused. A case under Sections 21/61/85 of the NDPS Act and Sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act was registered. TNS
