The school was established to provide free education to not only the children of AGI’s labourers and workers but also other children in need. The school offers a comprehensive range of support, including free education, books, stationery, uniforms, seasonal clothing, shoes and mid-day meals.

To further ease access, the school provides free transportation, ensuring children are picked up from their homes and safely dropped back after school hours. Speaking at the event, Salwinderjit Kaur, Chairperson of the AGI Educational Society, highlighted the mission of the school.

She emphasised that education is a fundamental right and that society has a responsibility to ensure that no child misses out due to financial hardships.

She also stressed on the importance of educating girls. She noted their pivotal role in shaping the future of the country’s communities and society at large.

“Our mission is to remove barriers to education for children in need by providing free resources to them. We aim to create more opportunities for growth and learning without placing any financial burden on the families of these children,” Salwinderjit Kaur said.
