With 152 unique napkin folds, CT students attempt Limca book entry
The CT Institute of Hospitality Management (CTIHM), Shahpur campus, witnessed a moment of pride and creativity as its students attempted to set a Limca Book of Records entry by crafting 152 unique napkin folds. The ambitious effort highlighted the students’ innovation, attention to detail and mastery of table presentation—an essential skill in the hospitality industry.
The event was the culmination of nearly three months of rigorous planning and hands-on training. Hotel management students delved into diverse napkin folding techniques and themes, ensuring that each design was distinct and aligned with various hospitality service concepts.
A total of 76 students participated in the record attempt, completing all 152 napkin folds in an impressive time of just 3.04 minutes. The level of coordination, discipline and teamwork on display underlined the soft skills that are important in the professional world, like time management, collaboration and problem-solving.
Dr Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions, expressed his admiration for the students and faculty involved in the initiative. He appreciated the discipline, creativity and excellence exhibited during the event. Also present at the event were Divoy Chhabra, officiating principal of CTIHM; Mahesh Khadwal, head of the department; Assistant Professors Arzoo Rai and Shivangi Luthra.
