A woman lost her life after being struck by a Dadar-bound train while attempting to cross the railway tracks near Bhagtupura in Phagwara.
According to railway officials, the woman was critically injured and was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital by railway staff. Due to the severity of her condition, doctors referred her to a hospital in Jalandhar, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Railway sub-inspector Jot Singh stated that the woman’s body has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for 72 hours to facilitate identification.
