Woman succumbs, 66 new Covid patients in 2 days

With the confirmation of 23 new cases of Covid-19 in the district on Sunday, the tally of patients has increased to 850, while one patient was confirmed to be Covid-19 positive after her death in Chandigarh on Saturday. Civil Surgeon Dr Jasbir Singh said three cases were reported from Chakkowal block, four from Posi, six from Tanda, one each from Dasuya and Harta Badla, three from Hoshiarpur city, one from Mand Pandher, two from Paldi and one case from Rajwal village. A 36-year-old woman from Kandhala Shekhan village, who was admitted to the PGIMER, Chandigarh, died on Saturday. She was found positive in the report after her death. Also, 43 persons found positive in the district on Saturday.
