Woman’s gold chain snatched

A shocking incident of snatching occurred in Chahal Nagar today. Two motorcycle-borne miscreants targeted a woman walking home and fled with her gold chain. The victim, identified as Ritu Sharma, told the police that she was returning home from a neighbour’s house when two young men on a motorcycle approached her. They snatched her gold chain and Mangal Sutra from her neck and sped away.

The incident was immediately reported to the police. Amandeep Nahar, SHO, city, said a police team visited the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter. He assured that the culprits would be apprehended soon. The incident has raised concerns over public safety in the area.
