Women from various walks of life took control of the steering wheels of their SUVs and Thar jeeps as they participated in a car rally against drug abuse, organised by the event management company Mumma Please, on Sunday.

The rally began at the Jullundur Gymkhana Club and traveled for 12 kilometers towards Eastwood Village on Phagwara Road. Participants wore saffron turbans paired with black T-shirts and jeans, while their cars were adorned with colorful balloons and posters. The rally saw participation from a diverse group of women including doctors, advocates, social workers, entrepreneurs, housewives, teachers and politicians.

The rally was flagged off by Shveta Dhir, ex-councillor and wife of Mayor Vaneet Dhir, along with Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Chairperson of Jalandhar Improvement Trust.

The event also saw the involvement of councillors Aruna Arora, Harsharan Kaur Happy, Dr Deepali Luthra, and socialites such as Sonia Virdi, Kavita Seth, Ambika Sonia, Dr Renu Malhotra, and Deepali Bagaria. Members from various organisations including Sky Riders, Punj Aab, JCI Alumni, and the Rotary Club of Jalandhar also joined the cause.
