CP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said flowerpots and plants have been distributed to as many as 32 women police officials who are working as ‘Mahila Mitra’ at helpdesks established at all police stations. Bhullar reiterated his commitment to ensuring round the clock safety and security of women as Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today in a state-level function launched a slew of schemes for women, including ‘181’ women helpline number and Saanjh Shakti helpdesk. He said that the department has also imparted requisite training to women officials so that they can efficiently attend and redress the grievances of women at helpdesk and the helpline number.
