Jalandhar: State Public School, Jalandhar Cantonment, gave wings to its teachers by organising a workshop based on NCF in collaboration with Macmillan. The school gave opportunity to add to the skills of mentors through the workshop. Sweta Sharma and Sudha Pandey, resource persons, presented their ideas of teaching in a unique and innovative way. The presentation was beyond expectations and full of learning. President Dr Narottam Singh along with Savina Bahl expressed satisfaction over the successful conclusion of the workshop.
Inter-College Championship
Chandni, a student of PCM SD College for Women, has clinched the first position in the Pencak Silat Inter-College Championship 2023-24. Her exceptional achievements not only include this victory but also securing a coveted spot in the All-India Inter-University Pencak Silat. President Naresh Budhia, senior vice-president Vinod Dada and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar congratulated Chandni and also the faculty members of the Department of Physical Education. They expressed optimism over stellar performances and also encouraged Chandni to excel in the upcoming All-India Inter-University Tournament with enthusiasm.
Havan Yajna
The new semester began in the college with a Hawan Yajna in which Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar performed the duties of Mukhya Yajman. After the hawan, Dr Rajesh Kumar, in his address, highlighted the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and his significant contribution towards girls’ education. He said that today, not only the DAV, but the whole country was celebrating the 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. This year, the Government of India is organising a national event in honour of Swami as Yug Purush at Tankara, his birth place in Gujarat from February 12 to 14.
KMV organises havan in hostel
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised a havan in the hostel for the bright future and good health of its students. Principal Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi was welcomed by the hostel residents with flowers. During the occasion, the KMV hostel resonated with sacred chants and hymns. Students and the faculty members also participated in the havan. The principal extended her best wishes to the faculty and the students and also motivated the students to do hard work.
