Workshop on opportunities in PSUs held

Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus (LKCTC) organised a workshop on “Opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings Unlocked” on Thursday, aimed at providing students with insights into career prospects, eligibility pathways and the evolving role of PSUs in India’s growth and development.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs), Dr RS Deol (Director), Dr SK Sood (Deputy Director, Academic Affairs), Maj Gen Ranjit Singh, Col PP Biswas, Lt Col Neeraj Dahiya, Vineet Ahlawat (ADCP) and Dr Inderpal Singh.

Dr RS Deol highlighted the purpose of organising such knowledge-driven events, which bridge the gap between academia and the professional world. He emphasised that PSUs continue to offer stable and purposeful career opportunities, particularly for youth aspiring to serve the nation.

Resource persons shared their experiences from the defence and administrative sectors, discussing the evolution of PSUs, recruitment processes including UPSC and PSU examinations, leadership opportunities, and the importance of multidisciplinary skills in today’s competitive environment. Their sessions encouraged participants to explore how technical and managerial expertise can be aligned with public sector goals.
