A 22-year-old youth died and two others were injured in a road accident on the Hoshiarpur-Chandigarh road on Wednesday afternoon.

The Chabbewal police have registered a case against the accused driver. Pope Singh from Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, who’s presently working at Mukhomjara village, lodged a complaint saying his son Bobby (22) was on a bike with Bhup Singh and Ram Singh, residents of Mukhomajra, when a car passing by hit them near Jian village.

As a result, his son died, while two other were injured. The police have registered a case against the accused car driver Suresh Kumar, a resident of Sector 47-A, Chandigarh.
