The Bullowal police have booked eight persons on the charge of killing a youth due to old enmity. The deceased has been identified as Karandeep Singh (22), son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Chakkowal Shekhan village.
As per information, Karandeep was returning from a wedding ceremony late last evening when the suspects attacked him with sharp weapons. The incident occurred near the house of village’s sarpanch. The suspects have been identified as Sandeep Singh Singh Sipa, a resident of Dhugga village, Balwinder Kumar alias Gopi, Kewal Singh and Mandeep Singh, who are residents of Sherpur Galind, Baba, a resident of Dhadde Fateh Singh, Ashu, a resident of Bullowal, along with their other accomplices killed
“During the lockdown, he had indulged in an heated argument with them. They have killed him because of this,” the father was quoted as saying.
Ajmer Singh, officer in-charge of Bullowal police station, is investigating the matter. A case has been registered against the alleged suspects under the Sections 302, 148, 149 of the IPC. “We are conducting raids, they would be arrested soon,” Singh said.
