Youth shot dead in Dasuya, probe on
Dasuya (Hoshiarpur), Jan 29
A youth working in the office of a finance company in Dasuya was shot dead under mysterious circumstances here this evening. The deceased has been identified as Gurpreet Singh of Odra village.
According to information, the finance company owner shifted the victim to a government hospital in Dasuya where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The firm owner fled the hospital leaving the car behind.
Harprem Singh, SHO of the Dasuya police station, and family members of the deceased reached the hospital. Relatives of the deceased and villagers sought registration of a case against the suspect and his arrest.
The SHO said preliminary investigations revealed that the shot was fired from a licensed weapon of the finance company owner. The matter was being investigated.
