In Fatehabad, a programme was held at the DPRC Hall under the Chief Minister Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0, where 79 beneficiaries received allotment letters for 100-square-yard plots through an online draw. Former MLA Dura Ram and BJP district president Praveen Jaura inaugurated the event, as Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala who was scheduled to be the chief guest was absent, repeating a similar no-show from a previous event and sparking discussions in political circles.

Meanwhile, in Sirsa, Cabinet Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi attended a “Jan Vishwas-Jan Vikas” programme held at the local Panchayat Bhawan. On arrival, Bedi expressed dissatisfaction with the event’s arrangements, particularly noting that the air condition was not working. Despite the rocky start, he went on to distribute plot allotment letters to the beneficiaries of the housing scheme and launched a booklet showcasing the government’s achievements over the past year. In his address, Bedi stated that the government had fulfilled 46 promises from its election manifesto, with the remaining welfare initiatives set to be completed soon.

He also noted the government’s employment guarantee for temporary staff up to the age of 58, the granting of land ownership rights through the Haryana Agricultural Land Lease Bill, and the enforcement of strict penalties for the use of fake fertilisers and pesticides. Additionally, the government amended the Shamlat Land Act to allow ownership of up to 500 square yards of Panchayati land, and launched loan guarantees of up to Rs 25 lakh for entrepreneurs from backward classes.

Digvijay Chautala criticises govt over unemployment

On the first anniversary of Haryana BJP government’s third term, JJP youth leader Digvijay Chautala criticised the administration for ignoring the state’s unemployment crisis. In a Facebook video, he accused the government of dividing people on religious and caste lines while failing to address the youth joblessness and migration issues. Chautala highlighted how many young workers travelling abroad through illegal routes became stranded, blaming the government’s inaction. He questioned the government’s recruitment process, including delayed CET results and reduced job opportunities under the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. Chautala also targeted Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, calling him a “rubber stamp” who lacked leadership and real plans for the state’s youth. He urged the government to present a clear employment policy and focus on creating sustainable jobs for Haryana’s growing young population.
