Larsen & Toubro, India has announced this award for meritorious final year engineering students from the Civil/Electrical engineering stream. Selected students will get course fee for M.Tech, stipend, opportunity to work at live sites of L&T and placement benefits.

Eligibility: Final year BE/BTech Civil/Electrical Engineering students who have scored 65 per cent or above till 6th semester can apply for this award.

Details: The selected students will get full fee sponsored for two years at selected institutes, a monthly stipend of Rs13,400 for 24 months, opportunity to work at live sites of L&T and placement benefit at the completion of the course.

LIC HFL Vidhyadhan Scholarship

LIC Housing Finance Limited is inviting underprivileged students to apply for the LIC HFL Vidhyadhan Scholarship. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to school/ITI/Diploma/UG/PG students. Preference will be given to students in financial and family crisis.

Eligibility: Students enrolled in Class VIII to XII/ITI/diploma/undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at any recognised school/college/university in India can apply. They should have scored a minimum of 65 per cent in their previous qualifying exam. Applicants’ family income must be less than Rs3 lakh per annum.

Details: Selected students will receive one-time financial assistance ranging between Rs10,000 and Rs30,000 based on their current academic level.

STFC Meritorious Scholarship

Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited has announced this scholarship to provide financial assistance to students from underprivileged families of commercial transport drivers. Under this programme, selected students will receive multi-year scholarships for professional studies after Class X and XII.

Eligibility: Students currently enroled in diploma/ITI/polytechnic courses, or graduation/engineering (3-4 year) programmes may apply for this scholarship, if they have scored at least 60 per cent marks in Class X and XII. Applicants must come from the family of a commercial transport driver with an overall family income of less than Rs4 lakh per year.

Details: Selected students will receive Rs15,000 per year for ITI/polytechnic/diploma studies (max. 3 years), and up to Rs35,000 per year (max. 4 years) for graduation/engineering studies.

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK is offering scholarships of up to £3000 to overseas students starting an undergraduate degree in September 2020 in Aerospace, Automatic Control & Systems, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Engineering.

Eligibility: Candidates must make The University of Sheffield their first (firm) choice in the UCAS application process for 2020 entry

• apply to study a full-time undergraduate programme in the relevant department
• be classed as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes

Details: The scholarship is awarded in the form of a cash bursary on course registration once eligibility is confirmed. The scholarship amount is dependent on academic achievement
