CGC Signs MOU with Rapture Biotech

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, has signed a MOU with Rapture Biotech International Private Limited, a multidimensional Biotech Skill development Company which is collaborated with National Skill Development Corporation, Life Science Skill Development Corporation and approved by Ministry of Corporate affairs, Government of India. The MoU was signed during 2nd International Symposium on “Contemporary Biotechnology and Allied Sciences Research in Academia and Industry” which witnessed speakers from national and international platforms who educated the students on integral aspects of Contemporary Biotechnology.

“Rapture Biotech has 300+ placement tie-ups with major biotech, Pharma and food processing companies in India and assures 100% confirmed placement to students” said Dr. Shreya Jain, Director, Rapture Biotech International Pvt. Ltd.

The MoU will enable collaborative biotechnology research under various government supported grants available for research project programs. This will enhance the practical skills of the students of B.Sc. & M.Sc. Biotechnology via specialised industrial training programs & dissertation cum research projects. Moreover, it will provide campus placement to the MSc students.

National Conference on Solid State Ionics

One of the massive challenges of the 21st century is the development of efficient and sustainable means of energy conversion, distribution, and storage. Solid State Ionics (the study of ionic-electronic mixed conductor and fully ionic conductors) based devices are playing a key role in such challenging scenarios, especially for transportation and bulk electricity generation which provides an alternative solution to pollutions, greenhouse effect, and dependency on oil-producing countries.

IIT Roorkee provided a platform for all stakeholders to address the above-mentioned issues by organising a conference during 16-18 December 2019. Being a convener of this event, Prof. Yogesh Sharma was glad to inform that 150 participants, including 40 experts from IITs, IISc, NITs, IISERs, Universities, and Industries shared their expertise and experiences with participants. — TNS
