Physiotherapy is a science that helps to improve movement and functions of the human body. It points the use of physical movements and exercises to prevent as well as heal injuries and diseases. Remuneration
India: India provides starting salary of between Rs 8,000 and 15,000 to a fresher. Private hospitals provide Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 per month to an experienced physiotherapist. Physiotherapy department in Government hospitals consider Physiotherapist as an important part of their organization.
Overseas: Aspirants can opt for teaching profession in various universities abroad. Physiotherapist can opt for schools where mentally retarded and physically disabled children are put in. Physiotherapists have better scope internationally. USA, Canada and Dubai provide $2700 – $6700 per month. Canada not only provides better opportunities for physiotherapists but also provides better salaries. Many people suffer from body pain and imbalance which requires the need of Physiotherapist.

Cryotherapy is an emerging technology in the field of physiotherapy which treats various tissue injuries and skin problems. It refers to use of ice or cold packs to reduce inflammation. Cryotherapy is beneficial in reducing migraine, arthritic pain, treat tumors, prevent dementia (Brain injury) and Alzheimer’s disease. WHAT IS BPT?
Bachelor of Physiotherapy is an undergraduate course. It is a four-year course that includes months internship.
Eligibility: Students who have passed Class XII science stream (physics, chemistry, biology subjects) are eligible to pursue this course and at least 50 per cent marks in each subject. The minimum age required for candidate is 17 years or above.

ABOUT EXAMINATION
The entrance exam is conducted offline. Exam pattern consists of questions from the syllabus of Class XI and XII. The question paper comprises two sections. The first section contains questions based English language, aptitude and reasoning. In the second section, questions arise from the basic subjects. (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
BPT Entrance Exam Pattern is similar to that of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The pattern follows +4:-1 .i.e. a single correct answer will give 4 marks and a wrong answer will deduct 1 mark (negative marking). The questions are multiple choice (MCQs).
The mode of admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy is either through Class XII examination merit list or Entrance examination. Entrance examination is generally conducted in the month of May and process of counseling starts by mid of July and finally, the classes begin by the first week of August.
HOW TO PREPARE
Students must go through the exam pattern and syllabus before beginning exam preparation. Try to start your preparation from basic concepts and basic learning.
The candidate must learn conceptual concepts as the exam will bear multiple choice questions (MCQs). Note down the important formulas on the paper and practice derivations.
Atleast, study for five to six hours effectively for better performance.
Students can also prefer NCERT(National Council of Educational Research and Training) textbooks for preparation and solve previous years question papers. One must practice mock tests daily and try to complete test in limited given time. This will help in scoring good marks. While preparing for the examination, student must note down all the important points at one place. This will be helpful during revision.
Focus on English and aptitude type of questions.
