Graduate Research Immersion Programme (GRIP) Scholarships
The OP Jindal Global University (JGU) has launched the Graduate Research Immersion Programme (GRIP) Scholarships to mentor and support the 2020 graduating students in overcoming the challenges posed by COVID-1on their careers and future plans. This scholarship programme will enable the 2020 graduating students of JGU to pursue a research immersion programme immediately after their graduation while finding their pathways and career opportunities at the end of the GRIP Scholars Initiative.
Under this 100 research scholarships will be provided to meritorious graduating students of JGU to augment their research capabilities and other skills, besides enabling them to gain the much needed work experience.
The GRIP Scholarship Initiative is a six-month programme, which will commence from September 1 of this year.
Selection criteria: Under the initiative, GRIP Scholars will be selected through a competitive process from among the JGU students graduating in 2020. They will work closely with accomplished and outstanding global faculty of JGU and will be provided with generous and comprehensive institutional support from the university to further develop their competencies and skills.
Details: During the programme, GRIP Scholars will benefit from one-on-one supervision, mentorship and guidance from JGU’s reputed scholars in the disciplines of law, management, international relations, public policy, liberal arts and humanities, and journalism. The GRIP Scholars will also be encouraged to take active part in advancing JGU’s research programmes through the university’s 55 research centres and three research and capacity building institutes.
Apart from the scholarship in the form of financial support, JGU will provide accommodation and other benefits and privileges to the GRIP Scholars for the duration of the programme. The selected GRIP Scholars will need to be on the University campus for the duration of the programme as this not an online scholarship programme as faculty mentorship is a critical component of the programme.
IIT Ropar Junior Research Fellowship
Department of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar invites applications for IIT Ropar Junior Research Fellowship 2020 from students having a master’s or equivalent degree in Chemistry with qualified NET or GATE for JRF.
Eligibility: Candidates should have got first-class (6.5 grades point out of 10) or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in Master or equivalent degree in Chemistry with qualified NET or GATE for JRF
Details: Selected candidates will receive emoluments as per DST norms. The selected candidate may be permitted to register for the PhD programme as per the existing institute rules. The fellowship requires the fellows to work on DST sponsored project entitled “Development of Porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for Catalytic Conversion of Carbon dioxide to Fine chemicals”.

Nikon Scholarship
Nikon Scholarship Program 2020 is an initiative of Nikon India Private Limited to financially support students from underprivileged sections of society to pursue photography-related courses. The scholarship is meant to help students who have passed Class XII and are enrolled in a photography-related course with duration of 3 months or more.
Eligibility: Open for students pursuing photography-related courses with duration of 3 months or more. The students must have passed Class XII. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs 6 lakh per annum.
Details: Monetary benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh
Selection process: The selection of scholars involves a multi-stage process including telephonic and face-to-face interviews.

Innovative Student Projects Award
Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) has announced this award for the innovative and creative BE/BTech/ME/MTech/PhD students working on various research projects and provide them with early recognition and incentives.
Eligibility: Indian applicants who have completed BTech/BE thesis by June 30,2020 or ME/MTech students whose thesis is examined from July 1, 2019 up to June 30, 2020 or have PhD thesis examined and accepted/recommended for the award from June 1, 2019 up to May 31, 2020, can apply for this award.

New India Foundation, Bangalore is offering this fellowship for scholars and writers who are working on different aspects of the history of independent India and will provide monthly stipend to them.
