With a motive to prepare its students according to the emerging needs in the world during and post COVID-19 crisis, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur has included a new two-year degree course, Master of Design (MDes.), in the field of Product Design and Interaction Design. The university has developed this course to build an importance of design in building a society.

The programme is open for students, who have completed their graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks with a portfolio as part of application.

The course is designed by the pool of experienced faculty hailing from both education and industry background including Mr Gaurav Juyal- Former Host, Art Attack, Disney, India; Former TEDx Speaker; Ms Sunali Aggarwal- Interaction Designer, Co-founder, Mobikwik and many other highly accomplished faculty members.

There are various career options in design such as product design, interaction design, communication design and many more depending on the skills you acquire during your MDes. degree.  Some of the companies, that hire  MDes graduates are: Google, EY, Reliance, Netflix, Amazon, Apple among others.

“Design is an exciting new domain that is in-demand, rewarding and creative. The field of design is of course constantly changing, and careers in design typically call for a combination of personal creativity with professional skills such as project management,” said Mr A.  Balasubramaniam- Director, Institute of Design, JKLU.

With this specialised qualification, a student can focus on both the technical and artistic aspects of communicating through a range of visual media.
