La Trobe University announces first recipient of Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship from India
Sandeep Anumalasetti from Hyderabad, has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship worth over Rs 35 lakh (AUD 74,400), considering his Academic Excellence and his Commitment in making a difference in the community. THe first recipient of this prestigious scholarship, Sandeep will enrol for the Master of Information Technology course in November 2020 and will move to Australia to study at La Trobe University’s Melbourne Campus as soon as the International borders open. Sandeep Anumalasetti, has worked as a Scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) since 2014 in roles ranging from Developing Software to controlling Spacecraft.
Vice-Chancellor & President, La Trobe University, Professor John Dewar AO, said, “At La Trobe, we have planned a range of scholarships to attract ambitious and high achieving students like Sandeep. The main aim for such significant scholarships is to attract excellent students to study with La Trobe, Australia and to positively contribute to our diverse student community”.
The university has taken many initiatives to support its students. These highly prestigious Scholarships are offered for every term and semester intake and are awarded to High-Achieving International Students.
