MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering
The University of Sheffield, UK, has launched a new course MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering. The course will commence from September 2020.
This programme has been developed taking into consideration the requirements of the global pharmaceutical industry. Students will learn about: the science and application of products, oral drug delivery, the production of medicines and new technologies
Students will gain hands-on experience with high-value formulated products using an industrial-scale continuous powder processing plant.
The University of Sheffield’s pilot plant is the only kind in the world with its unique equipment and features a world-leading continuous powder processing line – the first of its kind in any UK University.
The Department works closely with some of the world’s major pharmaceutical companies (e.g. Pfizer, AstraZeneca and GSK). Graduates of this course will be highly sought after in the global pharma market.

Duration: 1 year full-time
Eligibility: Holders of a three year bachelor degree with a minimum of 60% or “first class” in science, technology and engineering from a reputable university. Overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
Fee: The annual fee for overseas students is £24, 800
