Panjab University releases date sheet

Panjab University (PU) today released the date sheet for online examinations to be held in a blended (online/offline) mode from September 17 for undergraduate/postgraduate/diploma/vocational and other courses.

The date sheet has been uploaded on the PU website (puchd.ac.in) with the timings of examinations and other details.

  • The Controller of Examination office has asked the principals of all affiliated colleges/departments to share with university active email ids (at least two), mobile numbers (with WhatsApp of the college for emergency communication) and names of two senior faculty members of the college/institute /department, who will be engaged for conducting the final semester examinations for undergraduate/postgraduate and other exit classes.
  • The office will be sending exam-related material and other documents to the principal/chief coordinator/controller of examinations of colleges through the university website/email in the coming days.
  • It has been also decided to appoint a nodal officer for conducting examinations. The principals concerned have been asked to dispatch information through email at arconduct@pu.ac.in by September 8.

Viva voce

PU has allowed conducting viva voce /presentation of exit classes for undergraduate/ postgraduate/vocational/diploma and other courses till October 6.

In this regard, a letter has been issued to all principals of affiliated colleges/departments to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of viva-voce/presentation in an online mode. The list of examiners is to be sent to the office of Controller after the termination of the examination.


Steps/Instructions for downloading Question-paper/s from Website

  • All college/departments/ regional centres shall download the question paper/s in PDF format from college/department admin portal of UG Exam and PG Exam website after successful login.
  •  In case, any College/Department/ Regional Centre does not have login on UG /PG website they will be able to download Question Paper/s through Mode 2 & Mode 3.
  •  Mode 2: All college/departments/ regional centres shall receive the soft copy of all the question paper/s in PDF format for that particular day as per date sheet via email to principals/chairpersons/coordinators/HODs in an attachment (zip folder) from controller’s office.
  •  Mode 3: All the principals/chairpersons/coordinators/HODs shall also receive the question paper/s for that particular day in PDF format through whatsapp (in case of emergent situation).
  •  In case of extreme circumstances, hard-copy of question-paper/s shall also be sent to notified /selected centres in a sealed envelope/s by Controller’s office.

 Timings for availability of Question Paper/s

  •  Question paper/s for Slot 1 (9am to 1 pm) shall be available at 8:50 am
  •  Question paper/s for Slot 2 (10am to 2pm) shall be available at 9:50am
  •  Question Paper/s for Slot 3(2pm to 4 pm) (as notified in date sheet) shall be available at 1.50 pm.
  •  Question paper/s shall only be available on the day of examination. Next day, previous date paper/s link will be removed.
