Students of the colleges affiliated to IK Gujral Punjab Technical University can now opt for the online system of examination. The decision has been taken in view of the lockdown restrictions.
Students may choose to come to the exam centres for the semester examinations to be held in July.
An official in the Technical Education Department said examination centres would be established in other states also.

Nearly 1.5 lakh students are enrolled with two state technical universities. Acting on the directions of the AICTE, the Technical Education Board has issued instructions to polytechnic colleges to promote students in the second and fourth semesters. Around 50,000 students of polytechnic and pharmacy are enrolled with the board. Of these, 17,000 are in the final year.
