UPSC Civil Services final result 2019 declared, Pradeep Singh tops
The Civil Services exam 2019 results have been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Pradeep Singh topped the examination, according to an official statement.
A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other civil services, it said.
Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma have secured second and third positions respectively, the Commission said without sharing further details of the toppers.
The civil services examination is conducted annually in three phases — preliminary, main and interview — to select candidates for the country’s premier civil services.
Candidates can download the UPSC provisional appointment list of candidates who have qualified the civil services 2019 exam online at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC has declared the final list of selected candidates based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2019 held in September, 2019 and the interviews or Personality Test held in February-August, 2020.
Students should note that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’
