School lab attendant arrested with 88g opium in Shimla’s Rohru
Police also recover Rs 20,000 in cash from him
A lab attendant employed at a government school has been arrested with 88g of opium in the Rohru subdivision of Shimla district.
According to police, they received a tip-off that a man carrying opium was present at the ISBT, Rohru. Taking prompt action, a police team reached the bus stand and nabbed the accused. The police also recovered Rs 20,000 in cash from him.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rohru, Pranav Chauhan confirmed the report and said a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
