Farnaz Shetty, who has been a part of shows such as Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera and Waaris as well as SouthIndian film Rose Garden, has made quite a name for herself in showbiz. The actor, who has multiple projects in the pipeline, talks about her amazing journey.

  • n What changes do you see regarding your career in 2021?

I was supposed to do one project in 2020 and for that, I had to take a break from television so now my entire focus is on that. I am supposed to shoot for it from this month onwards. I feel very lucky to have reached this phase in my career. I have worked hard for it.

  • What kind of opportunities are you targeting for future?

As an actor, I am the kind of person who likes doing new things. It can be for the OTT platform or a film, be it Telugu, Tollywood or Bollywood.

  • What have you learnt from your journey so far ?

I always feel that nothing goes waste and I was extremely naïve when I started my career and obviously I have grown as a person. No project is too small or too big for me. Every opportunity is a learning experience and a stepping stone towards success. I am very content in what I have done so far and excited about what I will be doing in the future.

  • Entertainment industry is going through a revolutionary phase with the onset of OTT. What is your take on the digitalization of the industry ?

I am really happy. OTT platforms give opportunities to new talent whereas television is a good platform for actors as well. But, at the same time, there is a certain level of monotony that creeps in due to long-term commitment associated with work on TV.

  • How do you handle the current scenario of working on different platforms simultaneously?

I have been lucky enough to have been able to do everything; films, television shows, commercials, Telugu projects and OTT. I feel it is all about priorities and availability. In my case, I was fortunate that multiple opportunities fell in place at the same time and in the future also if I am available, I am open to doing anything which is interesting.
