Adnan Sami backs Sonu Nigam

With the world locked inside their homes due to Covid-19 pandemic, singer Sonu Nigam is stuck in Dubai at the moment. On Wednesday, the singer became target of trolls when his three-year-old tweet re-surfaced on social media. In 2017, Sonu had tweeted a series of comments about how the sounds ‘azaan’ from loudspeakers during the morning prayers disturbed his sleep. Following criticism, Nigam tried to explain his stand initially and ultimately quit Twitter.
Netizens trolled Sonu and wondered how he was surviving in Dubai with the ‘azaan’ heard everywhere. Seeing his ‘true brother’ in the mid of trolls, Adnan Sami came out in support of Sonu Nigam and posted, “Forget about his singing, which is incredibly beautiful, he has always been by my side and loved me like my own. I know for a fact that he respects all faiths. Kindly leave him alone.”
