Akash Thosar roped-in for 1962: The War In The HillsProud to play a soldier

Akash Thosar, who rose to fame with the Marathi movie Sairat, will now be seen in a pivotal role in upcoming series 1962: The War In The Hills. Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the series also stars Abhay Deol and Sumeet Vyas, among others. This Hotstar Specials show is inspired by true events and narrates an untold story of bravery, where an Army of 125 Indians stood against 3,000 Chinese soldiers.

Akash Thosar says, “This series is a dream project for me. Ever since I was a child, I had a dream of joining the Indian Army. When I was given an opportunity to play the role of a soldier, my heart was filled with pride.”

The show will release on February 26 on Disney+Hotstar.
