NCB arrests Gabriella Demetriades’s brother in drug case
In the ongoing drug case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has now arrested Arjun Rampal’s partner Gabriella Demetriades’ brother Agisilaos Demetriades. He has been taken into custody on charges of drug peddling under 16/20 CIR. Gabriella, who is currently living with Arjun Rampal and their kid, made her Instagram account private after her brother’s arrest.
Reportedly, the agency has seized alprazolam tablets and hashish from Agisilaos. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed the arrest and has alleged that Agisilaos was in touch with other drug peddlers related to the case.
Agisilaos was arrested late Saturday from a resort in Lonavala, said NCB officers. “On a tip-off, we laid a trap at the resort in which he was staying with his fiancé. He was arrested and 0.8 gm of charas was seized from him,” said an officer. Later, a search was carried out at his residence in Mumbai’s Khar from where Alprazolan, a banned tablet, was recovered, the officer added. After Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, this is the 23rd arrest made in the drug case.
