Anushka produces web series

Anushka Sharma is all set to debut in the web world as a producer. The actress has produced a new web series titled Paatal Lok, which will release on Amazon Prime on May 15. Taking to Instagram, Anushka shared the trailer of the show, which gives us a peek into a seemingly peaceful world that nurses a dormant, dark and dangerous underbelly – Paatal Lok. Coupled with a foreboding narration, the video casts a spotlight on the darker side of humanity. Filled with mystique, thrill and drama, the show explores dark bylanes of immorality. Inspired by the ancient realms of Swarga Lok (heaven), Dharti Lok (earth), and Paatal Lok (nether-world), the neo-noir series delves into the interplay within the four estates of democracy.

Talking about production content for digital media, in an earlier interaction, Anushka had said, “I’m happy that people are seeing value in our production house as content creators. We are also working with new writers and directors. When you’re not acting, you have to take out time to be involved in projects. That’s what I’ve been doing as a producer. As an actor, I’m in the midst of making a decision. This has been a hectic year with distinct films. It’s important for me to decide what I’m taking on next.”
