On the closing day of the annual Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, all the artworks were displayed at the CLKA Open Hand Art Studios. During the three-day workshop, the participants learnt the nuances of pottery and printmaking.
Linocut and woodcut techniques in printmaking, taught by Ravinder Singh and Sachin Lochan, were the main focus. Pottery workshop comprised terracotta and clay arts, taught by Bhupinder Singh. Intricate pottery pieces were on display, from delicately-crafted bowls to elaborate sculptures.
Bheem Malhotra, honorary chairman, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, expressed his satisfaction at the success of the workshop. “Our primary goal was to bring together people from all walks of life, any profession, any age, under one roof and for them to learn from one another. This workshop is organised every year as an initiative to promote art.”
