Balancing act
As an actor what is your greatest takeaway from Nitish and Ashwiny?
Both of them are simple and honest. They’re real people in our reel world. You can be confident about their story because it is coming from their heart. The working experience with them is pure and it shows on screen.
Ghar Ki Murgi is about a mother, who has been taken for granted by her family. Tell us about your relationship with your mom.
Mothers are always taken for granted. I guess for our mothers, we never grow up. It’s a child’s privilege. I still expect my mother to cook my favourite dish.
You are a mother yourself. What do you cook for your daughter?
Yes, I do cook for her. Though she is too young and has not developed her taste buds completely. But she does insist sometimes that I make something for her.
How has life changed after motherhood?
Life changes after becoming a mother. It’s important to maintain balance. I have always balanced my work and family well. I can proudly say that I am taking my responsibilities well.
You have been working for so long and successfully. What are your unfulfilled dreams?
My career has been a dream for me. And this dream is still continuing. I never imagined that I would come so far and thus everything seems like a dream to me.
Who is your best critic?
My parents. My father is a bit inclined towards me. But my mother is my most honest critic.
You are not working on television. Is it tough to say no?
No, it is not. Because TV means a lot of commitment and I will be not able to work like earlier. I am enjoying the space on web and would like to explore further.
