Balika Vadhu 2 fame Sagar Parekh will next be seen in the series Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan 4. Here’s a candid chat with the actor

What is your role in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan?

I am playing Yuvan, who comes from a very rich family in Himachal. Though he is a soft-looking guy, he is very rugged. This is his biggest flaw and for the first time in my career, I am playing a character like this.

What made you say yes to the show?

This show has been running for almost a decade. It’s rare that a show does this well. This is one of the best youth-based shows. I loved this show, when it used to come on MTV. That time I was not even in this field. I never thought I would be a part of it.

Is this your OTT debut ?

No, it’s my second web series. The first I did was Babbar Ka Tabbar for Zee 5 that has two seasons and I was a part of both.

Who all are there with you in the series?

Krissann Barretto, Ayush Tandon, Aayush Shokeen and Jaanya Khandpur.

Actors can really explore their horizon in web series. What is your take on it?

Definitely, as you get to explore a lot. There is a lot of creativity in the process and as an actor you grow with it. This is my second and I am sure after this web show, I will become a better actor.

How excited are you to shoot in Goa?

There’s always an excitment for outdoor schedules and when it’s Goa, then you don’t just shoot but you also party and chill. I am quite excited. The monsoon has already started there and it’s one of the best seasons to go out there.

As an audience what kind of series do you watch on OTT platforms?

I love to watch thriller and sci-fi shows and also sometimes action-based shows. Money Heist and Breaking Bad are my favourite.

How are you updating your wardrobe for the monsoon?

When it comes to the monsoon, I carry a sporty look and dry fits as they dry up quickly. I haven’t started to shop yet but I am planning to.

What is the skincare regime that you follow?

Nothing. I just eat well and drink plenty of water. One of the most important things is the aloe vera gel as it helps to moisturize.
