Apart from Sardar Udham and Koozhangal(Pebbles), Vidya Balan starrer, Sherni, Chhello Show’, ‘Laila Aur Saath Geet’ were in the race for India’s official entry to the Oscars, decided by The Film Federation of India each year. The 15-member jury was headed by filmmaker Shaji N Karun. More than Sardar Udham not making the cut, the fans were disturbed from the explanation given by one of the jury members, Indraadip Dasgupta. He is an Indian music composer-turned-director, well known for his work in various Bengali films and will release his big project ‘Bismillah’ on Janmashtmi next year.
