Case filed against Karan Johar, others

A case has been filed against Bollywood biggies, including Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ekta Kapoor, under Sections 306, 109, 504 & 506 of IPC, in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. The complaint alleges that Sushant was removed from seven films back-to-back, which compelled him to commit suicide.

Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in a statement said, “In the complaint, I have alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput was removed from seven films and some of his films were not released. Such a situation was created, which forced him to take the extreme step.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
