When Tusshar Kapoor in a bold, unprecedented step decided to be a dad via surrogacy, he surprised one and all. As his son Laksshya Kapoor turned four, this June 4, we have seen glimpses of this single dad dancing, reading and playing with his son. The ‘perils’ of homeschooling to nothing is ‘good’ enough for kids; he’s been vocal about the joys and demands of fatherhood equally!
Eccentric & funny
A proud dad, Anil Kapoor, revealed his fatherly side on his eldest Sonam K Ahuja’s birthday. Calling the Neerja actress his confidante, joy and pride, the ever- young-hero of Bollywood also admitted that his daughter is ‘the only person’ he’s scared of. Fondly called AK by his children, Rhea and Harshvardhan label their father the ‘funniest’ and ‘eccentric’.
Joy & frustration
Terming parenthood as a ‘bliss’, Shahid Kapoor is often seen doting on his daughter Misha and son Zain. Claiming parenthood has made him ‘selfless’, he’s also spoken about frustrating moments that it brings along.
He’s the cool one
Shah Rukh Khan flaunts the tag of ‘cool’ dad rather effortlessly. More like a friend to his teens – Aryan and Suhana, he’s back to parenting again with his youngest AbRam. School sports day or lounging together, he’s very ‘present’ dad in his brood’s life. “Children should hear their own music, sing their own songs and believe in their own lil dreams…& yeah, hug their papa a lot,” SRK posted on his ‘sunshine’ AbRam’s last birthday.
Once more
Painting, planting to playing together, Saif Ali Khan is reliving parenthood with little Tim. With Sara and Ibrahim well past their childhood, Taimur keeps this Nawab of Pataudi well occupied.
Together we grow
Kunal Khemu comes across as a very ‘patient’ dad through his Insta posts. From teaching yoga to reading stories and bike rides on Sundays (in the pre-corona world), delightful Inaaya Naumi Kemmu seems to have her daddy wrapped around her little finger.
The balancing act
Akshay Kumar is seen walking, swimming and running with a ‘spring’ in steps when with his kids Aarav and Nitara. He doesn’t mind being a rather strict dad “Whatever they get, they have to earn it. I want them to be responsible human beings, who are also full of gratitude for what they have,” he shared in one of the interviews. But then he’s as doting. Akshay booked his son a business class Europe trip post he ‘earned’ it with a black belt in martial arts.
