Deezer D passed away at 55
Actor and rapper Dearon Thompson, who was popularly known as Deezer D, was found dead at his Los Angeles home on January 7. The 55-year-old played Nurse Malik McGrath in the medical drama series ER alongside George Clooney and Juliana Margulies. Producer of the series Neal Baer paid tribute to him on Twitter and wrote, “Sad to learn that Deezer D has passed away. A very sweet, kind man and wonderful to work with on ER.”
As per reports, Dearon underwent a major heart surgery in 2009 and his family believes he died of a heart attack, but that there is no official cause of death yet.
