Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming show Bandish Bandits, which will release on August 4, has a stellar star cast. Shreya Chaudhary plays the character of aspiring pop sensation Tamanna, Ritwik Bhowmik plays the character of classical music prodigy Radhe and Naseeruddin Shah plays the character of Radhe’s guruji Pandit Radhemohan Rathod. Naseeruddin says he wanted to work with director Anand Tiwari. The actor says, “I’ve seen his work and his films and I’ve always liked it. That was a reason I wanted to do this project.”

He adds, “The second reason was that I’ve always had a bit of a problem with singing on screen. Mirza Ghalib helped me to overcome it to certain extent but this film really helped me to overcome my fear of playback singing and this was rather difficult because it had some pretty complicated classical notes.” Naseeruddin continues, “The third thing is that this is not a goody-goody character.”
