STRAP: Anupam Kher joins tree plantation drive

Bollywood actors actively participate in campaigns that create awareness about the importance of a clean and green environment. Recently, Anupam Kher was spotted in Mumbai at a tree plantation campaign. The actor took to his Instagram handle to share a video of himself planting a tree and also penned a gratitude note for BMC. He wrote, “Thank you @my_bmc #VishwasMote #MyBmcWardKW, residents of JVPD and members of the media for helping me adopt this tree. It is a great initiative to replace the fallen trees by planting new ones.”

The veteran actor also urged his fans and well-wishers to take up the initiative. “My request to everyone is to do the same all over the country #SwipeLeft #PlantTrees #SpreadAwareness,” wrote Anupam.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
