‘Guess the gibberish’, but mind you it’s no dumb charades! It is the new filter of Instagram available only if you have updated your app. You have to figure out the word or a catch phrase from what will sound as utter nonsense – in other words, gibberish. On top of it, there’s a time limit to guess it right. Pretty simple, right! From actress Anushkha Sharma to rapper Badshah to dancer and host Raghav Juyal, celebrities have taken up this challenge big time.
Couple story
Any story on Anushka Sharma’s page looks incomplete if Virat Kohli isn’t in it! It was Anushka who attempted the gibberish challenge and her husband who won it. In the few initial posts, Virat was able to guess it all right. That sure won him ‘husband points’ for understanding his wife’s gibberish; as Anushka mentioned Ladke Ko Sab Pata Hai. She also mentioned Karan Johar in two of her posts, where she managed to guess right and tagged Karan Jahar, who apparently criticised her for being bad at this game. She wrote, “Posting this for @karanjohar who thinks I am terrible at this. Take this you.”
Divine intervention
It is the Ramadan month and Gauhar Khan brought a divine flavour to this challenge. She cracked it in the first attempt itself and mentioned with the gibberish challenge video, “My First Attempt!!!Woohooooo #SehriTime Allah must’ve helped me, coz I’m such a good child!” Before going back to sleep, she tried a few more and guessed it right each time while calling it divine intervention.
Rapper debuts
Badshah tried his vocals on this filter and for him it was mix of some good as well as bad guesses. One of the phrases ‘Instagram celebrity’ in the challenge suits this rapper, as he stays up-to-date with everything that goes on Instagram.
Follow on
Keeping the entertainment quotient high with her posts and pictures, actress and singer Sophie Choudry also jumped in to give gibberish challenge a try. As goes her lockdown series #QuaranshineWithSophie, she aced it on her Instagram story in a polka dot dress. She captioned her videos, “Yes yes, I have joined the gibberish bandwagon.”

The lead of the show Little Things, Mithila Palkar has won our hearts many a time with her acting. And in the latest challenge, she managed to look fabulous while guessing a few of them right. She sure made this gibberish a tough one for others!
Punjabi tadka
From a content-creator like the YouTuber and actor Sahil Khattar, one can expect nothing less than a video on a subject that’s gibberish. He made an entire IGTV video, Punjabis taking the Gibberish Challenge! for his followers. As entertaining as it sounds, it also had some relatable moments for the viewers.
