Tell us about your character in the show?

I am essaying the role of a 45-year-old, who is flamboyant and charming and has a sense of humour. KT loves being with people. KT is very close to how I pursue things in life, smiling through problems and seeing life through difficult times. I happen to see myself in KT.

What is the show all about?

Shaadi Mubarak promises a journey of self-revelation of two individuals who are different. What keeps them together is respect for each other.

How did you spend your time during the lockdown?

We are a close-knit family. We enjoy spending time together. We had lots of fun during the lockdown. The lockdown not only gave me time to spend with my family or take up hobbies that I haven’t pursued in a long time but it also gave me the time to think and reflect.

What has the Covid scenario taught you?

We are constantly thinking about the future, forgetting to live in the present. It’s time we start appreciating what we have instead of running behind what we want. I have started to value and appreciate life more than before.

Do you think visibility is an important factor in the industry?

Yes, it is an important factor but I want viewers to know me for my characters.

More than 19 years in the industry and you have explored a lot. What is next on your wishlist?

I still have a long way to go. I want to keep challenging myself.

What is your dream role?

Any role that is going to challenge me.
